Graham McNamee was a pioneering American radio broadcaster during the 1920s and 1930s. Born in 1888 in Washington, D.C., he initially pursued a career in opera, but a throat injury led him to switch to radio broadcasting. He joined the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) in 1923 and quickly became one of the most recognized voices in the country.
