CCM Hockey is a well-known hockey equipment manufacturer, renowned for their high-quality skates, sticks, and protective gear. The company has a rich history, spanning over a century of innovation and leadership in the hockey industry.

CCM, which stands for Canadian Cycle and Motor Company, was founded in 1899 in Weston, Ontario, by Albert L. Houdé. Originally, the company produced bicycles, but by 1905, they began producing ice skates. In the 1920s, CCM became the official supplier of the NHL, providing skates for all teams.

In 1937, CCM introduced the Tackaberry skate, named after their chief engineer, which featured a revolutionary design with a reinforced toe cap and a flexible steel blade. The Tackaberry skate quickly became the gold standard for NHL players and remained popular until the 1960s.

In the 1960s, CCM continued to innovate with the introduction of the Super Tacks skate, which featured a fiberglass boot and a padded collar. In the 1970s, the company expanded into other hockey equipment, including sticks and protective gear.

In the 1990s, CCM introduced the Vector line of equipment, which included skates, sticks, and protective gear. The Vector skates featured a new design with a wider blade holder, which provided increased stability and control. The Vector line was also notable for introducing the first one-piece composite hockey stick.

In 2004, CCM was acquired by Reebok, and the company was rebranded as CCM Hockey. Under Reebok's ownership, CCM continued to innovate, introducing the RBZ line of equipment, which featured a unique blade design with hollow blade rails for increased power and accuracy.

In 2017, CCM introduced the Super Tacks AS1 skates, which featured a new anatomical fit system for improved comfort and performance. CCM also continued to innovate in stick design, introducing the Ribcor Trigger line, which featured a new carbon layering technology for increased durability and responsiveness.
