During the 1916-17 Interstate Basketball League season, three different team played under the the New York banner. The Cathedral Separate Five represented New York in the first half of the season and posted a 1-16 record. The Cathedral Separate Five played home games at Webster Hall in Manhattan. At the beginning of the second half, the Manhattan All-Stars took over the schedule, but after posting a 1-10 record gave up the franchise. The Manhattan All-stars played home games at the Manhattan Casino. The Yonkers Company G team, led by player-coach Dave Wassmer, filled out the final seven games of the season with a 1-6 record.
