The Lions would use this to carry them into the playoffs with a 9-7 record where they found themselves in a Wild Card round rematch with the Packers. In the game played in Green Bay's Lambeau Field Barry Sanders had a tough time getting his footing as the Packers knocked the Lions out for the 2nd year in a row 16-12.
