The Denver Broncos hosted seven players for tryouts last week, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. - The Broncos brought in defensive back Adonis Alexander, defensive end Justus Reed, running backs B.J. Emmons and Benny LeMay and offensive tackles Jake Benzinger, Garrett McGhin and Chidi Okeke last Thursday. - Alexander (6-3, 205 pounds) is the most notable name on the list. He is a 25-year-old veteran who entered the league as a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech with the Washington Football Team in 2018. - After spending two years in Washington, Alexander went on to spend time with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints. He has totaled four tackles in nine career games. - The offensive tackles are also notable because Denver is looking for long-term candidates at the position. McGhin (6-6, 302 pounds) is a 26-year-old veteran who has spent time with four teams since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina in 2019. - These players were likely candidates for future contracts.
