Two former Denver Broncos players tried out for the Green Bay Packers earlier this week, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. - The Packers tried out running back LeVante Bellamy and wide receiver Rico Gafford on Tuesday. Both players spent time with Denver in 2021. - Bellamy (5-10, 190 pounds) signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan in 2020. He spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad, dressing for five games. Bellamy rushed four times for 11 yards and caught one pass for five yards in his first season. - In 2021, Bellamy was placed on injured reserve during training camp and was later released in December. He’s been a free agent since then. - Gafford (5-10, 184 pounds) spent time with five different teams after entering the NFL as a college free agent out of Wyoming in 2018. He joined the Broncos’ practice squad last September when the team was thin at receiver. Gafford did not dress for any games last year. - Denver allowed Gafford’s practice squad contract to expire earlier this month, making him a free agent. The 25-year-old receiver signed a reserve/future contract with the Packers on Wednesday. - - Gallery - These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans - - - - - - view 24 images - - - - - Follow the Broncos Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - List - - 7 Broncos players scheduled to become restricted free agents - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
