Tomas Kopecky, a Slovak professional ice hockey player, spent a considerable portion of his career in the National Hockey League (NHL). Kopecky was drafted 38th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. However, he spent several years honing his skills in the minor leagues before making his NHL debut. Kopecky played two seasons with the Blackhawks before moving on to the Florida Panthers in 2011.
