Shawn Horcoff, a Canadian ice hockey player, spent the majority of his professional career in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a center. Born on September 17, 1978, in Trail, British Columbia, Horcoff's journey to the NHL began in college, where he played for Michigan State University. During his time with the Spartans, he developed his skills and gained recognition, which eventually led to his selection in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers.
Horcoff joined the Oilers in the 2000-2001 season, marking the beginning of a long tenure with the team. Over the years, he became a reliable player for Edmonton, known for his two-way play and faceoff proficiency.
