Antonio Alfonseca, a right-handed relief pitcher from the Dominican Republic, is best remembered for his unique physical trait and his role as a closer in Major League Baseball. Born on April 16, 1972, in La Romana, Dominican Republic, Alfonseca was known for having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, a condition known as polydactyly.
