At the end of the season, all remaining teams folded, resulting in the league restructuring itself as an all-amatuer senior level league that lasted in several variations until the early 1920s.
Starting in the 1908–09 season, the Manitoba Hockey League (MHL) was started as an amateur senior-level league. The teams from this league were eligible for the new Allan Cup.
