Following the demise of the Eastern Colored League (ECL) in 1928, the American Negro League, led by Ed Bolden, was established in 1929 by five former ECL teams— the Bacharach Giants of Atlantic City, the Baltimore Black Sox, the traveling Cuban Stars, the Hilldale Club of Darby, Pennsylvania, and the Lincoln Giants of New York City—along with the Homestead Grays, an important independent club. The league disabanded after its only season.
I sincerely appreciate the research work, and the information being shared. It is important and interesting history.
